Sandalwood oil is made by extraction from Sanctum oil which belongs to the Santalaceae family. It is also referred to as Sandalwood or Santal in eastern India and is extracted only from quality trees of Sandalwood. It appears as a thick pale to colourless liquid and has sweet, soft, rich and woody aroma.
